COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
The If We Can You Can Challenge (“the Competition”) is open to anybody based within North East England who has a business idea that has either not yet registered it with Companies House or has been incorporated for less than three years at the final for this year (22nd November 2016).
For the purposes of the Competition ‘incorporation’ is defined as the date in which the business was registered at Companies House.
The North East of England is defined by these counties and unitary districts: County Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, Tyne and Wear.
Persons who are not currently resident in the North East of England may enter the Competition as long as the primary business activity is registered, established and based within this region. The organiser of the competition, FIRST Face to Face ltd – trading as FIRST (“Organiser”), reserves the right to withhold prizes until this condition is met.
The If We Can You Can Challenge, registered on ifwecanyoucan.co.uk is administered by the organiser, FIRST: firstnetwork.co. Employees of FIRST Face to Face Ltd, or anyone else connected with the competition, may not enter the competition.
Startup businesses must be less than three years old. Entries will only be accepted via the If We Can You Can (ifwecanyoucan.co.uk) website unless otherwise specified. We will only accept one entry per person. Multiple entries from the same user will only be entered once. All entries must be received in the requested format and within the specified time. Late or incomplete entries will not be allowed. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
The Startup business competition winners will be announced in 22nd November 2019. The Ideas prize winner will be announced on the 28th of November 2019 and the Ones to Watch on the 25th of October. Shortlisted finalists must be available to attend events in October and November. Notice will be given but failure to do so will mean their place will be given to another, available finalist. Where a prize is offered it is subject to availability, non- transferable and there is no cash alternative.
By entering the Competition, the winners and finalists agree to the possible inclusion of their business idea in any media coverage by the Organiser and the Sponsors, such as press releases or publications. Approval of content will be sought before publication. The Organiser reserves the right to publicise the Competition through normal media channels, in all forms, for the duration of the Competition and for a period of 12 months thereafter. No confidential details shall be used in publicity material without the permission of any and all third parties mentioned therein.
